It's prelim examination week and although I am not a student anymore I can still say that every exam week will definitely be a hell week. Maaaan, having to experience a roller coaster attitude of students makes me want to go on a vacation and never come back again, hahaha.
I had conducted my first examination on Wednesday and as of now the number of students that received a passing grade can still be counted using my fingers, I am not happy and satisfied by the results but what can I do I even gave them an idea on where I would be getting the questions for their exam. At first I was really feeling down because I felt that I was not good enough but after 2 exams and after seeking advice from the pro, I care less anymore. It's their fault that they don't even bother reading the hand-outs that I gave them to the fact that I even told them that all the answers will be taken from the same hand-outs that they have but still only few people bother to read it and review it.
But it's still not the worse experience that I had.
What can be more worse in having a students with an attitude problem, I encountered it but never bother anymore. I need to be more patience and not get into fight with the students. I don't know. All I can say is that the students today are way different from when I was a student.
Anyway, as far as the students are having a hard time on reviewing for their exam. I, as an instructor, is also having a hard time checking their answers and encoding their grades.
Oh well, will try to update regularly and with a little sense. Next time, next time.
